It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share that Alexander Reyes, our friend and a YNPN-GR board member, has passed away.
Alex was committed to making an impact in his community through his work with many nonprofit organizations in Kent County. Alex was involved with Roosevelt Park Ministries, Kent County, The Hispanic Center, Cook Arts Center, Lee High School, Mary Free Bed, GVSU Laker Familia, and the YMCA. He loved working out and helping others.
At the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Grand Rapids, Alex served as co-chair of our Membership Committee and advocated for community building and equal opportunities of success throughout the community of Grand Rapids. His legacy across our community will be long-lasting.
Alex was a wonderful son, student, friend, and public health focused community worker who touched the lives of those around him and was loved by all. He leaves behind his beloved mother who was the light of his eyes. Alex’s family and friends are in the thoughts of the YNPN-GR board, and we will honor his legacy by continuing to support the community that was so important to him.
